The Bupa Foundation is run by a small team, based in Central London.

Daniel Murray ACIS LLB - Bupa Foundation Secretary

Daniel is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators with a professional services background. He has experience providing advice to companies both in the UK and globally, covering areas such as corporate governance and compliance, and joined Bupa in January 2012 to provide a comprehensive service to all UK companies within the Bupa Group.

Daniel was appointed as Secretary to the Bupa Foundation in January 2012 to provide advice and assistance to the board of governors.

Lee Saunders FSB - Registrar

Lee joined the Bupa Foundation in 1998 as administrator for grants and has been registrar since 2006. Lee trained initially as a medical scientist at the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, later graduating in Plant Science and Zoology at University College Cardiff. Her experience includes research into the origins of skin cancer (University of Wales College of Medicine) and a period as project manager looking at the feasibility of applying a health care programme approach to planning services for coronary heart disease. Lee has recently been elected a Fellow of the Society of Biology. She has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine for some years.

Teresa Morris BSc (Hons), MSc Econ - Assistant Registrar

Teresa Morris is a medical information specialist with over ten years experience providing cost-effective and competitive information solutions to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Teresa’s core skills include the ability to find and interpret medical information, assessing its validity, relevance and importance. Teresa's previous roles include actively promoting the use of evidence-based medicine across the Bupa Group to improve the quality of the information presented to health professionals and the public. She has also worked with the NHS as part of a Bupa team designing and building evidence-based care pathways. Teresa has a BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Coventry and has recently completed an MSc Health Information Management. Teresa is a member of the Chartered Institute of Librarians and Information Professionals, a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the Turning Research into Practice (TRIP) Advisory Board.

Louise Maclachlan BA (Hons) - Grants Officer

Louise studied Applied English Language and Linguistics at university and after training as an EFL teacher and travelling the world, she moved into publishing. She joined Bupa’s health information team in January 2008 and worked on a number of projects during her time there including providing the evidence for and approving Bupa's medical marketing materials in addition to leading Bupa's work on the production of an iPhone/iPad fitness application. Louise joined the Bupa Foundation as the Grants Officer in February 2011 and spent her first few months applying her expertise and skills to co-ordinate the Foundation's promotional activities for our change in strategy.
