Eligibility for a Bupa Foundation specialist grant

Please read this important information before considering applying for a Bupa Foundation grant.

Researchers and health professionals working for public or private organisations may apply for Bupa Foundation specialist grants.

Study for higher/further degrees, medical electives, educational courses, seminars, conferences etc, although valuable activities, are not eligible for themed grants.

Unlike the medical research grants, the Bupa Foundation will consider specialist grant applications for the creation of research reviews in the field specified in the current year's theme.

Apply online

Submit your specialist grant proposal: register for online application via the link below and begin your submission.

You will be able to specify that you are applying for a 'specialist' grant during the submission process.

After each session you will be able to save your work for completion when convenient. Once submitted, the system will generate a PDF application document. We now only need one hard copy of this with original signatures before your grant can go forward to be considered at the next grants meeting. The signed copy is needed because it will form part of the research contract if you are awarded a grant.

Please note:

• Specialist themes are advertised on the website and in the clinical press from October each year and close at the end of February of the following year.
• Proposals for the specialist theme are judged in May each year - date confirmed on registration for online application.
